Beethoven's Ninth Symphony
On Sunday, October 20th, The George Flynn Classical Concerts series is proud to present the Wallingford Symphony Orchestra and the Hartford Chorale performing Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony. The Symphony No. 9 is considered by many to be one of the greatest masterpieces of Western classical music and the “Ode to Joy” final movement represents Beethoven’s timeless vision of unity and peace. Led by conductor Philip T. Ventre, the Wallingford Symphony Orchestra is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2024. The Hartford Chorale celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2021. The concert will also include a performance of Vaughan Williams “Serenade to Music.”

Clinton residents can order on a first-come, first-served basis one month before each concert. Non-residents can order two weeks before each concert depending on availability.
