Research in Action: “Catalogue of the exhibition, called Modern Mexico”

Learn how William Bullock, a naturalist and museum proprietor, drew on his innovative displays and showman’s flair when presenting his Exhibition, called Modern Mexico to early nineteenth-century Londoners. This catalogue documents the natural history specimens and cultural artifacts that Bullock collected in Mexico during a significant turning point in the Mexican War of Independence.
