Zentangles

Zentangle turns drawings into artistic designs while reducing stress and improving focus. Learning Zentangle improves manual dexterity and problem solving to turn mistakes into creative positives. No previous Zentangle experience is necessary.
In this class create several Zentangle “Tiles”. Tiles are usually square 4×4 smooth white cardstock.
Learn to draw specific “ tangles” or unique patterns on the tiles. Copies of Zentangle books will be provided for inspiration as well as colored pencils and assorted permanent markers. Learn circular and free-form shaped “tangles” experimenting with your favorite colors when ready. As class progresses you create your own “tangles” based on 5 of your favorite activities.
The final class focuses on finishing your 16×24 inch painting on canvas, drawing your “tangles” with permanent markers and highlighting areas with other mixed media. Your finished painting will be your own Zentangle Abstract Self Portrait!!
