EveryBody Dances with Tigger!

EveryBody Dances @ Yale Schwarzman Center brings local and visiting dance artists to our Dance Studio to teach masterclasses in jazz, hip hop, salsa, modern, contemporary, precision dance and more! All community members are welcome. This week's class is titled Building Burlesque: Bigger, Better, Bawdier led by  Tigger!

Wanna try your hand (and the rest of your body) at Burlesque? Or improve the ecdysiast skills that you have?

Set the stage on fire & go from talented to TNT! A long-time collaborator with Taylor Mac (Holiday Sauce), Tigger! is an acclaimed pioneer of today's Burlesque Renaissance, as well as a trained actor & teacher who has been "acting like a stripper" since 1992. His class will break down what makes a burlesque performer stand out. Learn techniques & tips to make the most of what you've already got & take your performances to the next level.

This is an interactive lecture with burlesque acting & burlesque movement exercises. Be prepared to take notes. Bring clothing you can comfortably move in & shoes you'd feel good performing in, along with an extra layer that you can readily & beautifully remove! (No actual nudity involved in this class.)
